the dnc and branding

At last night’s DCDSC meeting, we met with two officials from the DNC who wanted to know what our most pressing needs are. While many on the committee spoke of organizatonal needs and basic administrative needs, I spoke about brand identification. Much as it pains Democrats and other liberal/progressive type to hear it, the Republicans

i ain’t marching with ‘em

Apparently at last night’s Democracy for America/DC for Democracy Meetup, there was a move to endorse (in a non-binding way, per the organization’s by-laws) the United for Peace D.C. Anti-War Mobilization – a three-day-long protest against the U.S. military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as against many other things. Due to another engagement,

dimensions and mold

I’m an unhappy camper due to two events today: 74 inches and its relation to a curve. Mold in my yogurt (dated August 20) that the student-run convenience store would not take back. joy of mac: back in the fray

Congrats to Eric for rejoining the Mac OS world! He was a big-time Mac user when we were both in college, and now he’s come back from the Windows vortex. Kudos!

the other shoe has…. clicked

Apple finally introduces a multi-button mouse. It’s about friggin’ time. But $50 for a mouse is a bit steep – why not make it wireless for that price, Steve?

extra miles here and there

I’ve been remiss in counting commuting miles in my blog because to me, they’re just something that happens: 4.1 miles of pavé between The Burrow and work, round trip. It’s not a long commute, by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s something: a morning wake-up call that opens the still-drowsy eyes. a chance to
