cycling in may: week 3

Week three is in the books – another 124 miles, staying with the average for the month. Bike To Work Day was a good way to end the work week, and I had two good rides this past weekend. And the muscle tone on my legs is getting better each week. I’m aiming to ride

cycling in may: bike to work day 2006

I awoke this morning to the sound of rain (and the sound of Della pawing at the window to “greet” her friend, the rain) and groaned: would this be like last year’s Bike To Work Day, where it rained buckets and I rode the bus, instead? Fortunately, the rain fell at 6:00 am, and I

You see, one of my birthday presents was shipped via US Postal Service’s Express Mail – not usually a big deal, especially given that I was home for all of yesterday morning (thus fitting a pre-noon delivery perfectly).

cycling in may: week 2

Week two is in the books – almost 123 miles, quite close to week one. Granted, I squeezed in over two-thirds of my weekly miles on Saturday and Sunday with two great rides. But I’m feeling better on the bike than I’ve felt in years (since high school, truth be told), and I’m quite positive
