In the sunshineLike I said last week, the Jamis Eclipse is done. I rode it over the weekend, and it was a fun time.

There’s something particularly rewarding about building up a bike and riding the finished product. The onus is on you to make sure each cable is properly routed and attached, that every bolt is tight, and that everything is in alignment. There’s a good deal of stress involved, especially the first time you take it out for a ginger test ride.

And then there’s the tremendous satisfaction of doing things right and having a new bike to ride.

And yes, at some point I’ll write a proper tribute to the old LeMond Tourmalet – I just need a little time to give it a proper write-up.
