Y’know, I’ve had it lucky: my first two summers here in D.C. were fairly nice: not too hot for too long, moderate humidity, and otherwise pleasant stuff.

In 2005, it’s all changed. We have some genuinely hot spells. The humidity is high, and the AQI is getting a bit frightening for long stretches at a time.

Yet I still go out and ride, walk around, function fairly normally. Granted, there’s a bit of bitching involved, but it’s still OK.

That said, this weekend’s trip to the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival is much-needed – and the weather should be a bit more temperate.
