Another post-work, pre-class ride. Today’s weather was simply wonderful, with a high in the low-80s, so I had to take advantage of the situation – after all, by Friday, high temperatures will be in the upper-50s. I rode more hills today, as I just had a new middle chainring installed on the LeMond (as well as a tune-up that improved the braking action and tightened the headset a bit – nice, crisp stuff). The new ring is a 39T, versus the 42T that used to be in the middle position. I quickly discovered that the new middle ring gives me more practical gear ratios for my style of riding, which is a nice improvement. Not as much traffic on the roads tonight, which was a pleasant change from last week.
